I’m just going to take a few minutes to talk about just how lucky and blessed I am this Christmas. There have been a few ups and downs in my life this year - but my parents have been really great and supportive about absolutely everything. They also completely spoiled me this year, and suprised me with an iPad2. (They wrapped it in multiple boxes giant boxes until I finally got down to it.) And here I was thinking that I was only going to get a new watch. It was totally unnecessary but AWESOME. I am so thankful.
Enough about that - I’m just happy that I got to spend some great quality time with friends and family. Christmas Eve started off with Christmas Eve brunch at home - Mom, Frank, Mociute, Franks’s Mom, his brother, his wife, and their two kids. One of my best friends - the infamous Mr. Lipski also joined in on the festivities. My mom made a huge spread of veggie and carnivore friendly items. I then went to the annual O’Brien Christmas Party in Elmhurst - complete with approximately 20 children running about eager for presents. I got my goddaughter Briley (almost 3) a brand new pair of sparkly pink Toms. She asked me to put them on her as soon as she opened them up - loved it.
Today we are heading over to a family friends’ home - then I will make my way Beverly to the Sieja household - followed by a trip back to Lemont for some drinks and merry making.
